As descended from a long line of adventurers, educators and entertainers, I've traveled far and wide, and along the way, acquired a nagging curiosity about the history of cultural relationships with the natural world and the evolving dynamic between man and beast. These interests explain my addiction to the adventure found in exploring the wild parts of this world and sharing what's found.

Mine's a nagging curiosity about how successful we've been, and will be, at interacting with the natural environment and wildlife for recreational and industrial purposes. I've got my share of opinions, many of which I've acted upon, both personally and professionally. Ultimately, it's our management policies and practices that will proactively or adversely effect a quality of life for present and future generations of man and beast alike. That is the general focus of my work, and subsequently, this blog. Experience being the best teacher, I also share my related interests in history, culture, education and how it all ties to my personal life. I appreciate your time and welcome all opinion, while reserving a mutual right to find humor in what we all might say.
